The Community
A peninsula, a life.
Founded in 1996 on a broad peninsula reaching into Lake Norman, The Peninsula unites approximately 1,350 estate residences with a private club, championship golf, and eleven miles of some of the most coveted shoreline in the Carolinas.
An enduring vision for Lake Norman
The Peninsula at Lake Norman was conceived in the mid-1990s as a masterplanned community that would honor both the water and the land. From the beginning, its planners drew a hard line between development and preservation — protecting old hardwoods, deep coves, and long sight lines across the main channel of the lake.
Today it is recognized as one of Lake Norman's flagship luxury communities and one of the largest private golf communities in the greater Charlotte region. Homes here range from carefully renovated original estates on the water to newly-built modern residences designed for a new generation of Peninsula families.
A private club at the center
The Peninsula Club anchors the community. Members enjoy an 18-hole championship course redesigned by Beau Welling, a resort-style pool complex, a nationally- respected tennis and pickleball program, and a clubhouse that hosts everything from junior programs to formal wine dinners across the year.
